Adult Church School Classes
To assist you in your journey toward Christ-Centered living, we have a faith development plan which contains over 200 titles and suggested studies for faith formation. This plan provides direction in identifying and selecting resources to help individuals and groups move along the spiritual journey toward life as Christ-Centered Disciples. Current study: Everybody's Normal Til You Get to Know Them
Bible study and discussion from a variety of study series and themes to build Christian discipleship. This class enjoys social outings and participates in various fund raising projects. The current mission emphasis is Partnership Village, an agency of Greensboro Urban Ministry.
Bible Discovery - Room 306, Adult Hallway
Current study: Jeremiah
This class thoroughly studies the Bible, verse by verse, from Genesis through Revelation, inviting input from all present. They encourage one another to live as Christians according to God’s Word. They take many side tracks to discuss issues and concerns that touch anyone in attendance or the Christian community. The class enjoys socializing on a regular basis - in their homes, in a restaurant or on a day trip.
Christian Fellowship - Room 312, Adult Hallway
Current study: Confronting the Controversies
A varied group (singles and couples) that seeks to develop one's commitment to God and to each other. The class shares a warm fellowship and believes in being there for each other. This class gives financial support to mission projects and educational funding.
Foundations - Room 203, Middle Building
Current study: Current Events
This class of adults studies contemporary issues facing Christian families in today’s world. The class shares teaching responsibilities and provides opportunities for Christian fellowship through various social functions.
Hilltop - Room 208, Middle Building
Current study: Becoming Mission-Minded
Young adults and college students who seek to let their light for Christ shine in the world.
James Tew - Room 310, Adult Hallway
Current study: Adult Bible studies from International Lesson Series
An active group of senior adults who enjoy fellowship together. This is the longest established Sunday School class.
Ladies Bible Study - Room 206, Middle Building
Current study: Faith Lessons on the Promised Land
A group of women of varying ages seeking spiritual nourishment through in-depth Bible study and fellowship.
New Beginnings - Room 311, Adult Hallway
Current study: Adult Bible studies from International Lesson Series
Lecture and discussion. This group participates in varied mission projects.
New Discovery - Room 307, Adult Hallway
Current study: Making Love Last a Lifetime
A group comprised of various ages. Studies usually focus on application of Biblical principles to everyday life. Leadership is shared among members, and open and lively discussion occurs regularly!
New Growth - Room 204, Middle Building
Current study: Tyranny of the Urgent - a Study on Priorities
This class is comprised of young adult singles and couples who seek to grow in their relationship with Christ. They participate in mission and fellowship activities. Join this class for new growth in Christ!
Passages - Room 308, Adult Hallway
Current study: Seeing Gray: Where Faith and Politics Meet
Uses current study materials and the Bible with discussions concerning current social issues for young adult and adult Christians. Enjoys social meetings outside of class.
